For over 30 years K&N have manufactured serious air filters completely unlike traditional disposable filters. Their air filter is designed to achieve high, virtually unrestricted air flow while maintaining filtration levels critical to ensure long engine life. The secret to their success lies in the unique characteristics of the filter medium that was originally developed all those years ago in the dust, sweat and tears of desert motocross racing.  Their high flow cotton gauze air filter is washable, reusable and built to last for the life of an engine. The Cooper Upgrade Kit is super !!! I noticed the performance difference almost immediately. It is better even in the low range and the shifting appears a lot smoother. There is no more of that maxed out power feeling at the top end. For the minimal investment, I definitely got my money's worth! I think I shaved 5 minutes off my commute home. Feels more like an "S" after the upgrade. I would recommend this upgrade to anyone who owns a Cooper and wants more pep. Thanks again for  the great service! Cheers!

I decided to run a few tanks of fuel through my Cooper before passing judgment on the performance kit you installed. No one word can sum up the boost in performance and driving pleasure I have experienced. Under normal city or highway driving the first thing you notice is absolutely no thing ... but just wait 'til you crack the throttle. I noted a moderately improved pick-up off the line, which is my biggest beef with the factory Cooper. As you accelerate, the intake begins roar. Combine that with a very modest snort from the exhaust and you now know something is very different. Once you pass 4000 rpm, the beast is unleashed. It is like you have found an extra couple of inches on the gas pedal or cracked the NOS bottle open. The acceleration puts you back in the seat for a pleasant little thrill ride. This is the way the MINI should come from the factory. But for those of you who, like me, don't want to shell out for a Cooper S, this is just the ticket! It provides the punch you want and adds some sexy sounds to the car. This was definitely bang for the buck!!!
